Original artwork is a lithograph by Swiss artist Paul Emmert (1826-1867), No. 5 in a series of 6 views of Honolulu done in 1853/1854. Produced by Britton & Rey of San Francisco. Surrounding central image are vignettes of the residences of Mr. Boullion, Mr. Dudois, Capt. Snow, Mr. Cartwright, T. Spencer, J.C. Spalding, Dr. Ford, Capt. Crab, H. Sea, Dr. Newcomb, The Bungalow, Dr. Wood, Mr. Sommner, Macfarlane, Porter & Ogden, and Mrs. Dowsett.
